Where’s Rustin? Windsor police seek stolen pup, armed robbery suspects

Windsor police are searching for two suspects and a stolen puppy following an armed robbery on the city’s west side Sunday morning.
Police said a teenager was walking her four-month-old French bulldog, named Rustin, at around 3 a.m. on Sunday in the area of College Avenue and South Street when she was approached by two males and one female.
The trio threatened her with bear spray before grabbing the dog and then fleeing the scene on foot.

Officers arrested a 15-year-old female in the 3400 block of Wells Street later on Sunday. The youth, who can’t be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, has been charged with robbery and assault with a weapon.
Police have identified a second suspect and issued a warrant for their arrest.
The third suspect is described as a white male with a moustache and possibly named “Ethan.” Police said he was wearing a red-hooded sweater and jeans at the time of the incident.
Authorities have not yet located the dog.
