Vito Coppola has given fans a glimpse at ‘all he needed’ amid an emotional time for the Strictly Come Dancing star. The dancer has been sharing updates after heading home to Italy for some much-needed family time.
As fans of the hit dance show know, Vito had an unexpectedly tricky start to the year. After spending Christmas and New Year in Italy, he returned to the UK to reunite with celebrity dance partner Sarah Hadland to continue their dancing journey on the Strictly Come Dancing Live 2025 tour.
But, as the tour was about to get underway in mid-January, Vito confirmed he had suffered an injury. He was then replaced by his co-star Nikita Kuzmin until he was back to full strength.
However, while Vito did make a brief return to the stage and was seen lifting the Glitterball trophy having been voted that particular show’s winners by the live audience, the Italian star had to confirm he wasn’t able to finish the tour, which has since come to an end.
Vito has since returned home to Italy with the trip coming after he also confirmed the sad news that he’d lost a ‘good friend’ and ‘amazing dancer’. In one part of his tribute, Vito shared a video of Lory during a competitive performance and said: “I will forever love you my dear friend.
“I will pray for you. You will be one of the most beautiful angels. I will see you in the other world, and then we will dance again, all together, like the old time…. I have heard that dancers are the athletes of God. Ciao, Lory.”
Taking to social media, Vito has now shared a video of his family’s cat, alongside which he wrote on his Instagram Story: “Massage time. All I needed [red heart emoji]. Maya [cat emoji].”
Vito’s return to Italy came after he did reunited with Sarah during a special Valentine’s Day dance class which he and Strictly judge Shirley Ballas were hosting on Friday (February 14).
They were also joined by Strictly co-stars Montell Douglas and Carlos Gu for the event and as a video was shared giving a glimpse at what they got up to on the ‘Dance with Us’ Instagram page, Vito was quick to respond: “LOOOVED IT. Thank you sooo much beautiful people. Always choose LOVE.”
